Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? "The most important factor to consider when choosing a job is the salary"



It is often said that the most important factor to consider when choosing a job is the salary, but is that true? , to give my opinion, I disagree with this point of view, although money is necessary and important in everyday life, what one should care about are the conditions someone will be when working on a specific job, for example, people who work a lot for better payments tend to have more health problems and separate from their family, which can make a better salary not worth it.

First of all, health is something very essential for people, when choosing a job, you have to bear in mind not only money but how it will impact on your life, it has to be enough money to make a living for you and your family and balanced with how much effort and energy you put in your tasks, this is actually very important for factory workers or other jobs where working has a significant risk of getting hurt or suffer irreversible damages.

Another point worth noting is that you should take into account how work is managed in the job you choose, maybe there’s a job with a better paycheck but is attained to a system where clocking certain amount of hours matter most than a result-oriented job, this could be very stressing and time consuming and could end up in dissatisfied workers which is something not acceptable for some people.

Last but not least is the fact that you should be satisfied or in other words happy with what you do at work, having a repetitive job could be something very boring and routine, whereas other jobs which challenges you to learn new skills can be very rewarding and make you a better person.

To sum up, I disagree with the opinion that what most matter when choosing a job is the salary, as we stated before there are a lot of thing to consider in addition to paycheck, so what you should care about is if you can balance work with your life, that´s the key for choosing a job which can be appropriate for you.

In my opinion, I agree with the statement that a group of people is the best way to make an important decision, having reliable friends or acquaintances to ask help tends to be very helpful when not feeling confident about making a decision.
